How it Works
The crane system comprises of an AHI flexible rack, traversing overhead, core chucks with tapered ends, in and out traverse and a unique “fixed position” function. The AHI “Tomahawk” features a dual knife arrangement with powered rotation. The unique “Tomahawk” tooling allows for the removal of the final layers without damaging the core.
Spent Core Handling Options
An optional inspection feature will automatically check the cleaned core for “mushroomed” ends. If a core end is mushroomed beyond the specified window, it can be delivered to a separate bin. Pair this machine with our core joining technology to optimize your ability to reuse damaged cores and reduce expenses.
